Mrs. George graduated from Boston State College with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. She is also a graduate of Control Data Institute where she learned about how computers work. Mrs. George worked for a number of years in the computer industry as a trainer and a computer technician. She then chose to become a stay at home mom to raise her four children. While raising her family, she was a volunteer for Odyssey of the Mind which later became Destination Imagination, where she was honored with a Ranatra Fusca award.

Mrs. George has always been drawn to teaching. She has spent over 20 years tutoring students in all subjects from grades one to twelve. The last 10 years she has spent as a Title 1 math teacher. During that time, she also had the opportunity to mentor or coach students for LEGO and FIRST robotics. Mrs. George was chosen two years ago to be on the Student Learning Objectives Consortium for the state of New Hampshire and will continue as an Ambassador to Support Service Providers this coming year.

Mrs. George first got interested in computers as a college student.  Owning an IBM 360, she not only learned how to program but also how to repair it. Mrs. George is currently pursuing a Google Educator Certification.

Outside of school you may find Mrs. George traveling, reading books, solving puzzles such as Sudoku or KenKen, line dancing, painting, Zentangling, or surfing the internet.  She hopes to reach her goal of visiting every state in the United States.  She has already visited 41 out of 50 states. Mrs. George looks forward to meeting students for a year of fun and discovery.
