Patricia G. Humphrey, M.Ed. - Founder, Vice President
Patricia Humphrey is a devoted supporter of the public charter school movement and has offered much of her life to this cause. She is the Founder of the New Hampshire Center for Innovative School (NHCIS) and a Founder of the Academy for Science and Design (ASD) in Nashua. Patricia is an experienced school administrator, educator, and board director. She has taught K-8 in New York City and in New Hampshire, and has directed a unique, independent school in New York City. Patty has extensive experience with public policy and fund-raising.

Kimberly Lavallee - Founder, Treasurer, Board Member
Kimberly Lavallee is an active supporter of the Public Charter School movement. She is a Co-Founder of The Founders Academy Foundation and serves as the Treasurer. In addition, Mrs. Lavellee currently serves as a board member of the Academy for Science and Design, a Public Charter School in Nashua. She currently chairs the personnel committee. Kimberly’s professional background is in the commercial and residential real-estate industry where she worked for 23 years in the appraisal field, managing approximately 70 appraisers throughout three states. She is also a devoted mother of two boys that keep her very busy.

Kristi Scarpone - FIRST
Kristi Scarpone is a results-driven non-profit fundraiser with more than 25 years of experience working with Fortune 100 companies, high-net worth individuals, and private and family foundations. Her unique approach of aligning people’s philanthropic goals with similarly focused institutions has created unparalleled fundraising success for organizations such as For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST), LitWorld, Habitat for Humanity and Global Force for Healing. She has mentored non-profit organizations across the country for more than two decades and currently manages a multi-million dollar portfolio in her fundraising role at FIRST, a global K-12 STEM and robotics program.

As a former teacher, Kristi finds great joy in teaching others the art and science of fundraising. She has taught college courses and created a video series for kids to teach the fundamentals of budgeting, asking and stewarding. She created a partnership between and FIRST to leverage corporate and crowdfunding to bring STEM to America’s highest poverty schools. She is a voice for underserved and underrepresented students by bringing financial resources and opportunity to where it is needed the most.

Locally, Kristi serves on the board of New Horizons for NH, and is active within the Palace Youth Theatre community where her twin daughters perform frequently.

Liam Childers - Student Representative
Liam Childers was born in Birmingham, Alabama on August 12th, 2002. Having lived in the city for 14 years, he gained a keen interest in politics. This led him to go to the Founders Academy after moving to New Hampshire in September, 2016. Liam is now in the 10th grade at the school and loves it. He appreciates the multiple clubs and political visitors at the school along with the helpful teachers. Liam looks forward to continuing a great year at Founders.
