Patricia G. Humphrey, M.Ed. - Founder, Board Member
Patricia Humphrey is a devoted supporter of the public charter school movement and has offered much of her life to this cause. She is the Founder of the New Hampshire Center for Innovative School (NHCIS) and a Founder of the Academy for Science and Design (ASD) in Nashua. Patricia is an experienced school administrator, educator, and board director. She has taught K-8 in New York City and in New Hampshire, and has directed a unique, independent school in New York City. Patty has extensive experience with public policy and fund-raising.
Kimberly Lavallee - Founder, Treasurer, Board Member
Kimberly Lavallee is an active supporter of the Public Charter School movement. She is a Co-Founder of The Founders Academy Foundation and serves as the Treasurer. In addition, Mrs. Lavellee currently serves as a board member of the Academy for Science and Design, a Public Charter School in Nashua. She currently chairs the personnel committee. Kimberly’s professional background is in the commercial and residential real-estate industry where she worked for 23 years in the appraisal field, managing approximately 70 appraisers throughout three states. She is also a devoted mother of two boys that keep her very busy.
Richard Hyotte, Chairman, Board Member
Rick Hyotte is currently the Director of National Sales for Davis IT & Engineering and has been for over 10 years. Davis is a National Staffing Agency that provides Engineering and IT Professionals all over the country. He relies on his communication abilities to build strong, lasting relationships with clients, to ensure they reach their business goals. By taking the time to understand the needs of clients, and acquiring detailed knowledge of business trends, growth potential, and other related issues surrounding the clients, Rick is able to provide quality customer service. In addition, he is able to manage multiple high volume accounts and manage a team of sales professionals. His efforts facilitated in the internal growth and expansion of existing business,billings, and company’s profit. Before joining Davis he worked at a Fundraising and Event Company (All-Pro Productions & All Pro Appearance) where they raised millions of dollars for various charities and planned corporate events for area businesses. Prior to All-Pro Productions, Rick was the Executive Producer of The Big Show on Sports Radio WEEI in Boston.
Rick Hyotte graduated from Curry College with a Bachelors' in Business Administration and a minor in Communication- 1993.
Brenda Lombardozzi, Board Member
Brenda is originally from Massachusetts but has lived in New Hampshire for the past 18 years and currently resides in Windham. She graduated from Framingham State University with a BA in Economics in 1986 and received a certification in Legal Studies from Northeastern University in 1995.
Brenda started her career in the financial field working with mutual funds, trust, and compliance. In 1995, she changed careers and worked as a Paralegal for a Boston law firm, Warner & Stackpole in both their corporate and litigation departments. She has experience with all aspects of establishing legal entities, corporate records, filings, and regulations. She also worked on the litigation side for large-scale discovery projects. In 1997, Brenda and family moved to New Hampshire where she joined the legal department of the Tyco International, Ltd., her duties included the maintenance of the corporate records for over 200 companies and subsidiaries.
Brenda and her husband Rich have two children; one attends The Founders Academy and is currently enrolled in the seventh grade. She is an active volunteer at Founders and has participated in and chaired a variety of charity events & fundraisers for 10 plus years.
Sen. Sharon Carson, Board Member
Senator Sharon Carson is serving as President Pro Tem and is in her fourth term in the Senate, having first been elected to the office in 2008. She represents District 14, covering Hudson, Auburn and her hometown of Londonderry. Sen. Carson previously served eight years as a State Representative.
While in the House she served three terms on the Education Committee. She has also served on the House Ways & Means Committee, the House Labor, Industrial and Rehabilitative Services Committee, and the Joint Legislative Committee on Administrative Rules.
A native New Englander, Sharon was born in Maine, raised in Connecticut, and has deep family ties with New Hampshire. She graduated from Mount Wachusett Community College with a degree in laboratory technology and earned her Bachelor's and Masters' degrees in American History from the University of New Hampshire. She was awarded a doctoral scholarship from UNH, has taken and passed her doctoral exams in American History, and is currently working on her dissertation.
Sen. Carson is an adjunct faculty member at Nashua Community College where she has taught a variety of classes in history and political science. The Senator retired from the U.S. Army Reserve as a Sergeant First Class. Sen. Carson is married and has two daughters.
Sean Thomas, Board Member
Sean Thomas is a native of Framingham, Massachusetts and a longtime political activist in his adopted home of Manchester, New Hampshire. A 1992 graduate of St. Anselm College with a degree in Mathematics, Thomas has served as a political advisor to former Manchester Mayors Raymond Wieczorek and Frank Guinta, as the Property & Contracts Manager at Boston-Manchester Regional Airport and currently serves as Deputy Chief of Staff to US Congressman Frank Guinta. His service to his community extends beyond the political realm being an active member of St. Raphael’s Church in Manchester and as a former Board Member of New Horizons for New Hampshire. He was named as one of 40 Under Forty for the Class of 2009 and his personal interests include ice hockey, golf, mediaeval history, Gregorian chant, cooking and reading.
