The Founders Academy Public Charter School is governed by a Board of Trustees that has general supervisory control and authority over the operations of the school. The Board has a statutory responsibility for reporting progress and achievement of the school’s stated goals to the State of New Hampshire Department of Education. At present, the Board is made up of members with distinguished careers in education management, business and non-profit organizations. Trustee selection is based upon personal and professional backgrounds, commitment to supporting the school’s mission, and its sustainability while representing the diversity of stakeholders and contributors. The Board is currently seeking additional members from the community who share the school's vision. While the Board acts as one body, it works through various committees to support the administration and the school in areas of governance and activities. The specified charges and numbers of committees can change or dissolve at any time. The Board specifically reviews and considers its committees at its Annual Organizational Board Meeting each June. The Board may approve sub-committees to complete very specific tasks. Currently, there are three committees. - Outreach - Policy - Finance. The Board meets once a month at The Founders Academy facility. The Board encourages parent involvement, both at Board and Committee meetings.
